Friends and Family! 

I am so thankful for this opportunity to be sent overseas to share the Gospel with individuals who have never even heard of the name of Jesus! This blog is intended to keep you updated with not just my personal travel and experiences but also how God is moving in the hearts of individuals in Tokyo. It is so easy for me to forget how truly big God is and how He isn't just the "God of America," as many eastern cultures would say, but He is a God of all nations. In Revelation 7:9-12 I am often reminded of this!

"After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands. And crying out with a loud voice, `Salvation belongs to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb.'" 
So, with that being said! As I am getting ready for this summer, I am excited to start this blog up and provide
weekly updates including everything good, bad, and in between!

Ryan McCrory, Elly Horton, Jackson Busch, Belle Burkhart, Lilly Powers, Natalie Mitts, TJ Averitt, and 
Jackson Moss

My prayer requests for this season preparing for the trip to Tokyo:
-That my heart would ache with compassion for the individuals in Tokyo who do not have a faith or know
the name of Jesus
-For the team of 12 of us going
-For safe and smooth travels to Tokyo
-That our hearts would be prepared for the interactions and encounters with the locals
-That I would walk faithfully with God and live a devoted life to Him and all He desires for the life He has 
given me!
-That I would share my faith boldly with the individuals in Tokyo
-That my parents would feel at peace and not be anxious when I leave

Updates:
  • The team and I will arrive in Orlando, FL, on May 25th for some more trainings
  • We will leave Florida for Tokyo on May 28th

Third Week in Tokyo!

Hi everyone!!      We have officially hit the halfway mark (just a little over when you see this post)! It has definitely been a more emotional and harder week. I think the first couple of weeks felt like vacation, but as we have settled in more and become used to a "new normal," there have been many times when it can feel hard. To elaborate further, I think the nature of Japan is so fast and intense that it's easy to get wrapped up in that subconsciously, often losing sight of who you are and who God created us as humans to be. Since processing this and the emotions, I think I have learned how to slow down and be still with God. It is hard to do in a society that doesn't do that at all. What's crazy is that this is the same cultural norm in America, too. I can distract myself or numb out more easily in America than here. I am thankful that the Lord has been teaching me this because sitting still with Him and slowing down has been something that I didn't know ...

Final Week in Japan!!

 Hi everyone!! Thank you truly for following along with me and my summer! I have been so blessed to have people consistently praying for the Japanese people! As I reflect on my time there, there truly has been so much I have learned from God through the people here and the culture: + There is something so much greater happening in the world, and it has been sweet to slow down and witness all that God is doing here and everywhere else in the world! + Living on mission is not tiring; it is actually fulfilling because when I recognize the gift of being a part of God's global mission, it truly makes me see life and mission as a privilege and less of a task or duty (which it still is, but that is not all it is) + Learning to thirst and hunger for righteousness is hard amid the "pretty and beautiful" things the world has to offer.
